SCREW SHAFTS
Existing screw shafts can be measured by us or manufactured to your specifications and drawings for conveying, mixing, discharging, feeding, entering, pressing, cooling and heating. Normally there will be used metal but other materials are also used in special cases.
Depending on the requirements, different types are used:
- Full blade screws consists of endless rolled augers or of individual screw flights, which are welded together. Full blade screws are used in dusty, fine-grained and non-caking bulk materials.
- If the tape is threaded, there is a place between the screw flights itself and the shaft. The thread is connected by a flat to the shaft. This design is used for the conveying of fragmentary and adhesive bulk materials.
- The paddle screws does not have a continuous thread, it is composed of individual segments, which are connected to the shaft. This design is suitable for baking goods and for mixing of the bulk material.
As shafts usually pipes are used, since these have equal strength at a much lower weight than solid shafts. At both ends of bearing pins and drive spigot will be welded. Existing screw shafts can be measured by us or manufactured to your specifications and drawings. All shafts can be assembled together with familiar companies.
